Jacques Parizeau was a FR péquiste leader of the French province of Québec. He led government, however ultimately failed in his quest for sovereignty. Came from a bourgeoise background in Montreal and studied economics in London, UK. Known for converting to sovereignty on an early train ride to the Western provinces of the country.
