For example, saying FR « I have 19 years » as opposed to the EN “I am 19 years old” ; in this case the FR lexical reflex has carried over into the EN lexicon and depleted its quality. In acquiring any natively-fluent lexicon, it is utterly important to delete foreign-lexicon lexical reflexes.
